What I Can Do
Every time I think I'm turning into a composer, I get offered a tour, and every time I think I'm a touring musician, I find myself dragged into a long production or composition project. Basically, I'm a bit of a musical chameleon, and my real passion is hopping onto someone else's project and helping to make it the best it can be.
1
Remote Recording
You send me your music, or a brief, and I record saxophones (or other woodwinds) and send them back to you. My main mics are a Coles 4038 ribbon and a Shure SM7 dynamic (the mics I've most commonly encountered in high-end recording studios) and I use Universal Audio preamps. It will all sound very nice. You can send me parts, in audio or written form, or just give me an idea of what you'd like.
2
Arranging
I can arrange a brass section. a string section, pianos and keyboards, backing vocals, or pretty much anything you like. For some reason I'm also a pretty mean drum programmer. I can notate those arrangements and will usually be able to organise remote recordings, or even in-person ensembles depending on where in the world you are. I have a lot of experience in this area.
3
Live Playing
I've played all over the world across my career, on everything from major touring productions to small DIY projects. I have dual European and British citizenship.
4
Composition
I've written short film soundtracks, a full indie game soundtrack, multiple TV commercials, podcasts and countless songs, mostly in the Production Music field (where I've been nominated for a number of industry awards) but also within the commercial music industry. As a co-writer, I place a strong focus on problem-solving, and have a good track record in taking a good-but-scrappy idea and turning it into a well-honed finished product.
